After reviewing the Canon 50mm f1.2 L Sigma 50mm f1.4, Canon 85mm f1.2 L and Sigma 85mm f1.4 I have decided to get the Sigma 85mm f1.4 as the most appropriate portrait lens with the best bang for the bucks. What draws me to the Sigma 85mm f1.4 is also the faster auto focus. Tried out the 50mm f1.2 - on the bride and groom walk in you get very few on focus shots. Like the pop of the canon 85mm f1.2 though but the price also "pop".Now its whether to get used or new, used is around 1100 to 1200, wonder what the new price is?

Beautiful pics at the night festival. No night is too dark for the 1.4.

Yes Yak especially for portraits and weddings, you must get one.

2 cons - close up focussing difficult and very prone to fringing.
