Worked too hard and stressed so took a good break in places where yr mobile lines have no connection, no TV, no computer/internet. Just me and a bunch of crazy birders and the Nature.
BTW, we survive on maggie mee, bread, biscuits, buns, canned food and fruits for 8 days. only have toilets/ bath water and eletricity every night at camper's park.

I hope you bathed since then lol. This is another good reason not to go into birding. Nice shot. But I hope you got some pretty pictures, this one is a little too gory for me. Please post them soon!

Dont worry, we took at least 1 long shower everyday, somedays we took 3. Its too hot not to shower. You can wear a wet shirt walk about 20 minutes and its dry already. 8:30am sun is as hot as our hot noon sun here.

Kim, they are neither eagles or falcons. They are whistling kites. Plenty of them around. sometimes you can see 50 to 100 of them in the sky. I was too tired these few nights to process my photos. maybe tonight I have some energy and with the whole house to myself (wife took kids out for short KL trip), I can concentrate on processing them.

Kudos to your hardwork to bring such wonderful pictures. ok, awaiting for ur next series.

Here is another photo. This time a landscape. Was taken from a boat ride. The ripples made by the boat over the calm water was too nice to resist. So I put down my bazooka and pick up my 17-40 for this shot. I'm not actually a landscape person but This is my favourite shot of the day.

More landscape shots. Shot at Lee Point near Darwin. We got most of the birds here. This is a protected area. Some Military area. There was a sign saying no photography, drawing or sketching of the place. We quickly run after we saw the sign.

Because we were in other country, we better obey the law and at best not to break any. Funny thing was, there was a hugh sign. at least 2m x 1.5m with big wordings just beside us. and on the brab wire fencing there are several smaller notice about A3 size placed aboiut 10 to 15 M apart. Yet when we venture into the area we didnt notice it. I only shot 5 shots when one of us spotted the dign and we decided to scramp immediately.

looks like you had a good time Yes Mandy, We had a jolly good time. Totally clear our stressful minds off work for 8 days. I start my day at 5am, woke up to wash up, cook breakfast. (actually just boil hot water for Coffee). wake the others up at 6+, take our breakfast and clean up. We set off from our camp between 7 to 8 am depending on the distance of shooting sight. The earliest was 6am (skipped our BF) to catch the rivew boat cruise at 6:30am. Normally we shoot till 10am and head back to camp for rest and lunch. Our main drivers will eat and rest/sleep. We drive to our next destination after lunch, shoot and head to a new camp for the night. My duties are, relief driver, assistant cook and camp site utilities hookup. We have a Medical Doctor, 2 accountants ($ very important), 1 "snipper" (his eyes are super, can spot birds in difficult condition), 1 engineer and 1 IT personel. Beside that we have 2 GPS, walkie talkies. We also have good support from our birding group and we have a Australia base member helping us with the locations and aslo another UK birder who had just visited the place to give lots of valuable tips and exact location for specific birds. Our mobile lines were not able to connect to the local network aperrantly because Singtel who also own Optus block off the rest of the network. Only Telstar is avaliable in the area we visited.
