Just this few days BnS, section from CS, ppl were dumping their canon 20D for ard 700-800. Just made mi wonder is it a good time to get a 20D? or should wait for a year than buy a D300? Guys wat u tin? Isit 20D no good compare to their big bro like the 30 or 40D?

Ah the BBB virus .. 20D is a very good camera, but the few things to consider
1) The resale value of this cam is "trashed". So when you try to sell it, you will properly have to sell at a loss..so unless you are prepared 2) The technology behind this cam is "old", so you might find limitation that irks you.
D300 just launched..based on specs it looks better than the 40D, for you I guess it works, as you have a whole arsenal of Nikon lenses. For the most of the bro here, it has heavy implication on their pocket..from the white to the dark side.
But if you asked me buy 20D or 30D or 40D.. my answer would be 40D. Apart from me finding the live view performance sucks (to be honest, I need to retest this), I think 40D is a very good cam to consider.
But for budget purchase, yes the 20D and 30D are excellent contenders, after all these 2 cam are field proven.

yeah i koe.. got the BBB virus.. wat was i tining of... will stick to the dark side.. But the price for 5D are so 'temping'... Full frame cam.. at only less than 3k... ohhhh
