some nice photos here. Remember a few pointers, firstly see the light, good example the bunch of bananas one without and one with light and the difference is obvious or photos of the swing. do not clutter the background. heads must be clean. by the way 5th May class will start at 2.45 pm.

I have sent you all some write up on shooting fireworks compositions and settings. Remember you must show some location to identify the location of the fireworks. The first few shots are the best nd most important as there is no smoke. Preset for the ambience first so yoou should be at least 1/2 an hour before the fireworks. Good practice on the manual flash kailinglim, ambience can be seen subject is sharp and clear and bright. Try not to cut off the shoe. Previous fireworks taken from: 1. Tanjong Rhu Park 2. NTUC 3. The Merlion 4. From Stamford Hotel on the 50th floor.

2nd pic good details inside if you have your tripod could have set to very slow speed to get the wave misty. Also taking another exposing for the highlight to blend in this one to give details on the highlight would make this a great pic.

Pic 1. The boat on the left is cut off. Crop it so that you don't see the boat and at the same time reduce the empty to balance the picture. Pic. 2. If you have a largw aperture like 2.8 you could blur the background so that attention can be garnered towards the first store. Pic. 3. Good shot. The sea could have more details and brighter if you use an NDG filter. Pic. 4. OK Pic. 5. That black cloud cut off is disturbing. Use rule of third less sea and either remove the black or show the whole black. Requires a recomposition.
