I have the Canon 6D for nearly 6 mpnths now and had use it on 2 oversea trips. Why did I bring along the 6D instead of my 1D Mk4? Well firstly, I am allergic to the 1D Mk4 and get rashes when I hold the 1D Mk4 whereas I do not have that problem with the 6D. Should be selling the 1D Mk4 becoz of that... Hmm... what do I like about the 6D? Its smaller and lighter. GPS. Full frame. In camera panorama and HDR handheld and pretty decent sharpness. Now I can log my location and map out where I went. What do I dislike about the 6D? I absolutely hate the 9 points focus, too few and only 1 cross hair in the centre. Color accuracy kinder hard to get but that can be corrected if I use raw. 5 frames per second instead of my 1D Mk4 10 fps. Realize its a mistake to get the 6D should have got the 5D Mk3 instead. Maybe I'll change both camera for one.
But, I believe that there is 4 cameras you should get as you upgrade, consumer, prosumer, semi-pro and, pro. So, for somebody upgrading from a 60D the 6D would be most suitable and for that price of around S$2600 its a good cemera.
