I attended the basic photography class that started in Apr 2012. If this was on FB, I would have pressed "Like" Why do I like it? - Good combination of theory and practice. The practical sessions really help to gel things learnt during the theory portion. Cecil and the rest of the "xiao si fu"s are also unstinting in helping you understand how to use the settings and how to compose to get better pictures. - Cecil is like a walking dictionary. ;D I had a little bit of basic knowledge in photography, so I asked a lot of questions during class. Cecil was kind enough to answer all of them, and point to areas to look up on. - Reinforce the idea of how to master your camera. This cannot be emphasized enough by Cecil. I have to say I kept referring back to my manual, and by so doing, gain a better understanding of using my camera to produce good photos. All in, had a fun time attending the classes. So, Cecil, when is the next intermediate class going to start? Leng

I have been taking pictures all the time but do not have basic knowledge about photograhy. Every session has theory and practical time, so we practice straight away what we have listened in theory. I have walked away with some knowledge about photograhy now. I need lots of practice and continue learning to take better pictures.
Cecil is not selfish in sharing his knowledges and experiences. He has the gift of teaching. In every learning and teaching session, it takes not only the skill of the teacher to impart knowledge but also the willingness of the student to learn and ask questions. As a school teacher in the past, Cecil knows that the learner can be a hindrance to his learning if his attitude isn't right. We were encourage to ask questions during the 6 sessions of lesson. I am glad that I have not waited in vain for the class to start.
