If anyone of you think of going, my advise:
DONT WASTE TIME & MONEY
I went yesterday. Checkin very smooth, just scan the SMS on my iphone and an ID badge was printed on the spot.
But inside... plain. Not much to see. I completed the static display plus climbing into the Chinook and Apache cocckpits in less than 1 hr. Wait for the acrobatic display... What no Formation? Well got one by SAF, the combination of F15 and Apache flying side by side.
Only highlight was the F111's Dragon path where it dump feul and burn in midair.
If you all want to shoot, just go to the beach, Free.
Beside the $180 ticket which I got for free, I had to take leave, take public transport. Shutter from cityhall is S$10 one way. from T3 is $5. Can surcharge is $8. Drive there... you must be mad cos the parking fees is $100 per day.
My ticket is valid for 4 days (2nd to 5th Feb) but they need to see IC or Passport to verify else any of you can use my pass.
Want to see photos... I'm too lazy to even download it from my camera.
Jon, you need the 500mm? Think your 300mm with TC is better combo. I just use 70-200 to shoot.
